Privacy Policy.
This Privacy Policy explains how Hyper Vyper ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you visit hyper-vyper.com ("the Website") or get in touch with us. We are the data controller responsible for your personal information, and we process it in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Belgian data protection law.
If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the Website. If you have any questions, contact us at info@hyper-vyper.com.
Summary of key points
What we collect: mainly the details you send us through our contact form or by email (your name, email address, and message), plus basic technical data your browser shares automatically when you visit.
Sensitive data: we do not process special categories of data (such as health, ethnicity, or religious beliefs), and we do not buy or collect personal data from third parties.
Why: to answer your messages, keep the Website secure and working, remember your preferences, and meet our legal obligations, always on a valid legal basis.
Your rights: you can access, correct, or delete your data, object to processing, withdraw consent, and lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority.
1. What information we collect
Information you give us
When you fill in our contact form or email us, we collect the information you choose to share, typically your name, email address, and the content of your message. We use this only to read and respond to your enquiry.
Information collected automatically
When you visit the Website, our hosting provider and content delivery network automatically log limited technical data, such as your IP address, browser type and version, device and operating system information, referring pages, and the date and time of your visit. This happens for every website and is used to keep the Website running, secure, and protected against abuse.
Cookies and similar technologies
We store your cookie choices and your language preference, and, with your consent, some third-party content may set cookies. Full details are in our Cookie Policy.
We do not process sensitive personal data, and we do not collect personal data from children (see section 9).
2. How and why we use it
We only process your personal information when we have a valid legal basis under the GDPR. Specifically:
- To respond to your enquiries and provide our services, based on our legitimate interest in replying to you, on steps taken at your request before entering into a contract, and/or on your consent.
- To operate, secure, and maintain the Website (including logging, spam and bot protection), based on our legitimate interest in keeping the Website safe and functional.
- To remember your preferences such as language and cookie choices, based on your consent and/or our legitimate interest.
- To load embedded media and fonts (for example videos), based on your consent where these are non-essential.
- To comply with legal obligations, where the law requires us to process or retain certain information.
3. Cookies and tracking
The Website uses cookies and similar technologies for functionality, security, and, where you consent, embedded third-party content. You can accept or refuse non-essential cookies at any time through our cookie banner. For a full list of the cookies used and their purposes, please see our Cookie Policy.
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers we rely on to run the Website and respond to you, and only to the extent necessary. These include:
- Hosting and infrastructure: our website host (GoDaddy) and content delivery / security network (Cloudflare), which process technical data such as your IP address to serve and protect the Website.
- Email: the email service we use to receive and reply to messages you send us.
- Embedded content and services (Google): pages with embedded YouTube videos, Google Fonts, and spam protection (Google reCAPTCHA) cause your browser to connect to Google, which may receive your IP address. Non-essential elements load in line with your cookie choices.
- Social media (LinkedIn): our Website links to our LinkedIn profile, and any embedded LinkedIn content may set its own cookies if you interact with it.
We may also disclose information where required by law, or to protect our rights, safety, or property.
5. International transfers
Some of our providers (such as Google and Cloudflare) are based in or process data in the United States. Where your personal information is transferred outside the European Economic Area, it is protected by appropriate safeguards, such as the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework and/or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
6. How long we keep it
We keep your personal information only for as long as we need it. Messages and contact details you send us are kept for as long as necessary to handle your enquiry and for a reasonable period afterward, unless a longer retention period is required by law. Consent records and preferences are kept in line with the settings described in our Cookie Policy. When we no longer need your information, we delete or anonymise it.
7. How we keep it safe
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information, including serving the Website over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection and relying on reputable hosting and security providers. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, however, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your privacy rights
If you are in the European Economic Area, you have the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Access — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Rectification — ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
- Erasure — ask us to delete your personal information in certain circumstances.
- Restriction — ask us to limit how we use your information.
- Portability — receive your information in a portable format.
- Objection — object to processing based on our legitimate interests.
- Withdraw consent — where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time, without affecting processing carried out before you withdrew it.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at info@hyper-vyper.com. We will respond in accordance with applicable data protection law.
